I started little goat because I love to camp and hike, and enjoy having great coffee with me while I’m in the great outdoors. The problem was: I couldn’t find an instant coffee product that didn’t suck, but I didn’t want to always lug around my whole coffee set up when space and weight are so limited in my pack.

After working for 7 years in the coffee industry in Vancouver as everything from a barista to a roaster, and trialling different camp coffee methods from cowboy to pourover (and many things in-between), I started out on the mission to create an excellent cup of instant coffee. I knew using good quality beans was as essential as finding an extraction and processing method that maintains that cafe quality taste.
